Upper Trapezius Dry Needling Twitch | Trapezius Pain Relief!

Показать описание
Watch the upper trapezius dry needling twitch as I treat a patient with upper back, neck, and shoulder pain. You can see the upper trapezius muscle twitch when I needle the affected trigger point, this is called an LTR (Local Twitch Response.) It's a unique sign of a trigger point and is a common physiological response to dry needling a trigger point. LTR isn't the response every time and sometimes you may feel simply a dull and achy type of sensation.

Wondering if you have an upper trapezius trigger point? Putting some pressure in your upper trapezius with your fingers will sometimes elicit an LTR. You'll also have tightness, tension, and sensitivity in this area as well.

I have been going for dry needling for awhile and can't say enough good things about this. I get severe migraines and also have pinched nerve in my neck along with some herniated discs. This helps my migraines be less frequent and helps my chronic pain from fibromyalgia. Great for anyone with chronic pain

Dry needling literally saved my life of headaches and pinched nerves. 7 years of non-stop headache and back and shoulder pain finally got relief from doing this.

I had it done in physical therapy last week. Almost feels like being hooked up to a tins unit. Some of mine were a little painful, but I have had issues with my traps for years and finally started doing something about it

I have muscle knots ALL over my traps: Upper, middle, lower. I had a physical therapist that tried using cupping and dry needling to get the knots out. The most major knots he would never hit with the needle. It was a real game of hit and miss. I've had these knots for years now and they are super serious. I can't even move my arms in certain ways and the knots led to me tearing both of my biceps.

I used it to help loosen my calf muscle after a strain and today just had my shoulder adjusted after a decade of stiffness and pain in the trap, and even from these two procedures, I have much more mobility despite the pain

Hi there! I'm a licensed medical massage therapist and am very interested in this modality. Do you have to be a chiropractor or PT to practice this? I'm going to be getting my first treatment tomorrow and can't wait. Thank you for awesome videos!

I don't know what it is about it, but I actually like getting it done. It's weird to like being needled, but it's kind of relaxing. It's like the ultra deep tissue massage. Afterward, I feel quite relieved with a what seems like a dopamine release.

I have tried I would say 2 different way of dry needling, 1st way was that the needle was inserted in my body and was left there for a few minutes and the 2nd one was I guess closer to what I see you doing, it was described to me as a 3 twitch response method where the needle was inserted in my body but was manipulated until I got up to 3 twitches... I feel with the second method I had greater results... what is the difference between those 2 methods and is there a name for these different methods?
