Hey FYI for anyone deleting the smog pumps DO NOT DO THIS ON OEM CATS. They are not self sustaining and require the smog pump to pump O2 through the check valves and into the exhaust to prevent clogging. I see all kinds of people misunderstanding what that whole system actually does. If you have newer or hi flow cats they will be self sustaining and there will be no problems.

My tips... put gas in it for amazing performance. My gas gauge went suddenly and showed a full tank... I was wtf when the motor started coughing. Gas cured the problem and now I use my trip od as a indirect gas gauge. Cops... make sure no cops are around. Tickets kill performance or at least take all the joy out of it. Tires... flat tires suck. Just flat bed the thing if you get a flat and let the tire shop fix it. Sunshine... for some reason rain just kills performance... hard to see in a hard downpour. Stupid storm only about 10 miles across had me going 35mph on the highway... lucky nobody else was going any faster either. Let it idle in the garage for 5 minutes if you get rained hard... the heat dries things nice and prevents performance loss from wet ignition stuff. Bonus tip!... put a couple anti-leak tabs in the radiator (when car is bone cold). At that age the gaskets leak and plugging those pinholes will give a noticeable performance increase... power and mileage. Happy vroom vroom!

Great 5 picks. I did pretty much the same, except the throttle body coolant bypass as mine is 84. The only thing i did slightly different is that i used the shorter belt without the pulley kit for smog pump. i also removed all AC components and cruise control losing about 50lbs of weight.. 😃

If you do away with the EGR and reroute the smog pump and use it as a crank case evacuation pump youll actually make horsepower. If you have 1 3/4s headers you can pump the excess crank case pressure into the headers collector. Using a complete dual exhaust like yours is incredibly loud, I put 2 resonators in the driveshaft well and ran the exhaust into 3 inch Walkers (flowmasters suck) out the back and mine sounds like an Indy car. I have a TPIS Miniram on mine and Fastburn heads. It pulls strong out to 7800 RPM and runs well into the 10s on VP C10.

I was just watching the video for the dual exhaust fabrication, now on this video I can see the long tubes are flaking, If I remember correctly you did dyi ceramic paint am I correct?

Sir I have a 1995 Corvette C4 LT1 and the rad. fans come on only with the hvac turned on. So they work on low and high mode. I replaced this sensor with a brand new one and it reads on the digital dash board, and there is an analog gauge on the dash as well from the engine sensor on the side of the block, the water pump sensor shows about 10 15 lower temps but thats is normal for this set up I read. No seems to have posted the answer I need to get it to turn on the fans and not over heat. THANKS for any help!
(did a throttle coolant bypass, which is the only thing I changed really) HELP HELP I AM STUCK ANYONE PLEASE

I don’t recommend messing with the air filter post 86. The stock design out performed the aftermarket’s selections torque and hp.

I have an 87 with under 50k and the only upgrade I've done was a Borla Catback. I'm also in Central Pennsylvania should I register as an antique?

I only wanted to mention something about the performance filters, that are very popular. Recently I saw a video that showed how effective are this in filtering particles and the results were pretty poor 🤔 like almost the same as no filter. For large particles and debris they are ok. but for dust for example not that good. the oem filters did well and even better after they are used for a while. For areas with clean roads and on track there shouldn’t be a problem.

Wish you’d explain a little more about the benefit of your picks for us that aren’t diehard car guys. Changing spark plugs in self explanatory, but your hose intake mod I’ve no idea why I’d wanna do that.
