The issue is when they fill the cup up with ice. When you got a shit ton of ice in the cup, the difference in final product of actual drink is minimal. This is why i always ask for light ice. I don't want a cup full of ice with 8oz of liquid drizzled on it. Take 4 sips and its gone

With tapered cups like these, there can be a surprising amount of volume left even when the cup looks almost full. Visual estimation isn’t a good metric, you should have actually measured the difference in liquid ounces between the cup. It might not look like a substantial difference in size, but there could easily be a 10-25% difference in volume

Pretty sure the whole idea of the myth is that the EXACT SAME amount of liquid WITHOUT adding amy extra fills every cup the same. You kept refilling them once they weren't mostly full, bad test even though it was obvious this myth was busted from the very beginning.

I'm a few years late 😀 but the super sized cup has a smaller bottom to fit inside the cup holder in your vehicle. So it's easy to see how the large and the super size would have the same amount of liquid. As you stated they all cost $1 regardless the the size. Hopefully no one's losing any sleep over this $1 McDonald's drink when they all cost the same. Thank you for sharing your experment 😃🥤🍟🍔⭐

Just a tid bit of information for you all, if you order your drinks with ice, you're 100% getting a SMALL in a large cup lol...

The bigger the cup the more ice they use. So yes they use the same amount of drink for each size.
