Ranking All 57 Powerups From Every Mario Game!

The Super Mario series has A TON of powerups/items but some are definitely better than others! In this list, PJ ranks all of them!

Also side note, Thomas here, some of these rankings are CRAZY imo so leave a comment whether or not you agree and we'll discuss below!

This ranking was incredibly odd. I disagree with nearly every ranking but something I find particularly confusing is the fact that the weird mushroom does everything the normal mushroom can, but makes you jump higher. This is definitely a list rather then a ranking

The Gold Flower is literally a more powerful version of the Fire Flower, how can you rank it so much worse? Coins aside, you can defeat literally anything with it in one hit! NSMB2 gets way too much hate in general

I hate the fact that you ranked the SMB2 mushroom so low because it's "A sad reminder the game exists." The power-up is so useful because you can stand on enemies, pick up enemies, the mushroom jumps at night, and is a great power-up to have in general.

Honestly I wish the Blue Shell could’ve been obtained normally in levels as whenever I got it I was afraid to fully use it as I didn’t wanna lose it…

The gold flower is the equivalent of the star, it instantly kills enemies within a RADIUS OF DISTANCE (basically any enemies nearby) and it makes almost everything coins! Not trying to sound nerdy but it’s true lol

The propeller mushsoom is my favorite mario powerup. It was sooo useful in Mario Bros and it's definitely the most balanced flying power up in all of Mario 😊

The power-up I have the most fun using is the mini mushroom, it's so satisfying and the movement is soo incredibly nice.

Imagine combining the Racoon, Cat and Squirrel suit into one 🤩

The super leaf and tanooki suit are separate power ups. Difference being the tanooki suit can grant invincibility and crush enemies which wasn’t mentioned.

You forgot to mention the ice flower from Galaxy 1 because although it's the same booking power up as new Super Mario Brothers Wii Ashley transforms Mario into ice Annie can walk on lava

Besides the statue effect of the Tanuki suit, I always found the cape better. Its attacks were faster, and the game it featured in felt more comfortable to get up to max speed in. I also found it far more comfy to use as you just had to hold the jump button, rather than rapidly tap it to slow your fall. Video got them mixed up. It's not the Tanuki suit singing "Anything you can do I can do better", it's the cape.

Forgot the Penguin suit personally it’s my favorite power-up too since you can swim faster dealing with annoying water levels and belly sliding making going down hills more enjoyable

The Cape Feather is by far my favorite power up. You can fly forever. And has a way better spin attack then the Tanooki suit. Idk how anybody could rank the Tanooki suit over the Cape feather.

Ranking Racoon higher only because it's more iconic?!?
Cape feather lets you fly INFINITELY.
