Do you need another hopper?

Показать описание
Based on a terrestrial pattern from the Federation of Fly Fishers "Pattern Encyclopedia," this parachute hopper is actually a fairly simple tie even though it does use quite a few materials.

Hook: #6-12 long shank
Thread: Brown, or color to match the body
Body: Synthetic dubbing
Underwing: Deer hair over flash
Overwing: Mottled turkey slip
Legs: Knotted pheasant tail fibers
Post: Synthetic, or Para Post equivalent
Hackle: Grizzly dry fly

It’s hard to believe that from double digit subscribers(when I joined) to what it is now.Your personality makes it what it is.Good job, Matt.

I love a good terestrial. You can never tie enough. The fly tyer in me wants wants to tie up 500 different patterns (a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point) but the angler in me uses about 1. Beetles on the other hand, the fish just can't seem to get enough of them. Whatever variant i throw at them, they gobble up.

500 videos!
That’s amazing! I don’t know if I have 500 patterns in my boxes. I doubt it.
These videos are very helpful regardless of the viewers skill level, very welcoming and accessible.

Thank you, for the 500 videos. Too much education is impossible, especially when it comes to fly fishing.

What a great pattern. I am not great at the parachute technique but think I can do this pattern. A couple of patterns back you showed how to tie the legs and I got the tool and am ready for this pattern. Thanks, Matt for all you do for the sport.

500
As somebody who's gone back and binged all your tying and tool review videos, I can believe you've posted 500 vids! While some patterns weren't anything I'd probably use in my home waters, I use them to discover new techniques and get ideas for my own ties! Keep up the AWESOME work!

Hello Matt. Agree, you can never have too many terrestrials. Looks like a schroeder's hopper. Very nice.
