Neighbors in rural Henderson oppose Hindu temple

A community in rural Henderson is strongly against a proposed Hindu temple complex.

Hindus never opposed Churches. Even when Christian Missionaries and Portuguese soldiers were slaughtering and converting their way into South India, now Hindu ruler ever harmed an innocent Christian. Hindus are just some of the nicest people with a strong moral compass.

As a Houstonian and a Christian, I can tell you I love my hindu and budhist neighbors. I've been to the temple for a wedding, they are so sweet. I have toured a Cambodian budhist temple. I wish there was a sihk temple because they are so kind and they give the poor free food.

As a Hindu, I wouldn't want a temple in residential area especially if it means the ppl living there are going to hate the hindu community.... Everytime I visit the temple...I would feel like I am intruding...
It hurt a lot when the person said having a temple will diminish the land/home value...I hope someday we can get past the sense of looking down at non-white communities

India has largest Hindu population but still you find at every state Mosques, churches, sikh temples, jain and buddhist temples, hindu temples .And i think there are more christian schools in India that of Hindus.Even i studied in a Christian School and there students read Bible every morning .But still we are Hindus because no one can alter it .
