Midea's washer isn't actually dual action it just looks like one.

Yes maybe to be different and try out something else. For a change. Gosh, going Sears in the 70s and rushing downstairs to the appliance department was a treat. Today nothing but some thin metal junk and no popcorn scent or popcorn to be found either.

No. I bought a Toshiba Airfryer toaster over that I later found out was built by Midea. Fan started chattering the next day and the door wouldn’t stay shut when hot. Complained about it and the retailer sent me a second unit at no cost and allowed me to keep the first 1. Which au gave to my parents as they only care for the toast function which doesn’t use the fan. The replacement started chattering within days and the door also had trouble staying closed when hot. That one lasted 2 months until it just died completely. Took it apart and I was amazed at the shoddy construction. The insulation was like the fiberglass shavings used in attics that gets all over the place. The connectors to some wires were starting to melt and turn brown which is inexcusable for such a new product. Zip ties meant to hold wires together broke to the touch. Nothing was meant to be fixed or replaced & All the electrical components had Midea labels on them. Poor build and poor quality control so I can’t imagine their appliances being any better. Stay away from Midea and any brands affiliated with them such as Toshiba appliances.

One way to look at it is if Korean appliances such as LG & Samsung are a no no, then Chinese appliance manufacturers ought to be looked at as the plague.

I would buy anything over a Whirlpool. As much as they were built like tanks 20 years ago they are now total junk.

Midea makes window A/C units for GE and Whirlpool. It's a company competing in major markets. They are Asian (China) and you have to put everything into perspective.

Midea is a huge true manufacturer of appliances. They normally build components for other brands but now have their own line of appliances for the US market

Midea is a giant Chinese manufacturer that supplies appliances for dozens of other brand names. There's a video on YT showing how most of the retail microwave ovens are actually made by Midea. I never heard of them until Walmart started selling Midea branded dehumidifier a few years ago.

We have been using Midea brand dishwasher and fridges in our rental properties for the past few years. They are very cheap in price wise but I haven’t had any complaints or issues since we started using them. They are very quiet and seems like good quality materials. They have led lights in the dishwasher that makes it easier to see. We used to buy whirlpool or GE but the plastics always get brittle and break.

Not a single washer out there is really made to last over 10 years and they like to cut off parts at ten years on most of them now. That said, Mia purchased GE appliances and proved to be nothing but the cheapest of crap. Microwave latch's eating each other apart with in 2 years running the bottom microswitch. In counter Microwaves. No parts available for them, ,, ever. First year warranty you have to ship in for repair. Top load washer, junk Gear Cases. They wont last 5 years before leaking and causing the belt to jell and fall apart. Really with in 3 years. First thing to look at on these crappy washer. The cost to repair the gear case makes it an instant recycling hit. Whirlpools biggest issue is over loading causing gear case shaft damage. Mostly how ever the really damage down there is ignoring the washer because it should run for ever. Whirlpool is twice the product of Midea / GE. Speed Queen is the only one with some quality still built into it.

Midea company is privately owned Chinese conglomerate. That makes it the largest appliance manufacturer in the world. When they’ll have the technical infrastructure in The US, Whirlpool will be a distance memory in the history of appliances…
That might happen in about 200 years from now.

I recently moved into a new home, and the owners have an LG direct drove washer dryer set. I had to take apart the washer becuase the last people that was renting the home must've not really cleaned the tub on the setting, and it had built up of mud and other junk in it. Anyways I had to watch a ytube video to pull it apart and deep clean it. Now it doesn't stink and washes great.

No….I have a thing about sending money overseas…you can hardly avoid it these days…fuel from the Middle East, electronics from Asia, now many vehicles from Mexico, …..we used to be a world leader in manufacturing that started to peter out after WW2….now we have massive debt…to show for it!
