Incidentally, I think this will be a very helpful guide for illustrating the short, fuzzy, fur on my calico under the warm hued light source. A kitty portrait Ive been stumped on for a couple months!

As usual this was also a great lesson, thank you so much for sharing your precious knowledge and skills. Please make a video for skin tone as you showed in this video for sparkling grass. How a face skin changes value and how we can blend the colors of the face mean in portrait. Again thanks a lot giving your time and knowledge.

Excellent color control. Kinda looks a bit like a sunset - in a good way - and now I want to try to emulate it in watercolor. Great tip!

Thanks so much, i love these quick tips!. I love that this technique helps in recreating the correct color instead of the guessing game. Also allowing for color harmony. Thanks again!

Anything about color is so helpful. Using the color wheel makes things so much better than without. As you know. It means a lot to continue to learn about combining colors for a desired result. I can actually succeed at some of these. Thank you Dianne.

Thank you Dianne, very helpful as I am trying to paint a winter scene with hoar frost on winter grass in foreground and I will certainly carry out what you have explained. Many thanks.

Great tips. Thank you! I've bought oils but haven't ventured there as yet. I'll be re-watching all your tips before I start on this medium.

Thank you Dianne. Your quick tips are so helpful. Would you go in to what you just painted with a detail brush and add more detail of the grasses?

What line or series of brushes from Rosemary do you use? What brand of oil paints do you use and why?

I'm paying attention to the bristles on the brush you are using and wondering if they are soft, natural, synthetic, etc?
