Diane I have sporadically watched you over the years. Up until this point in time your instruction has been, although enjoyable, way over my ability to absorb. I believe I have finally reached the point of understanding! The actual science behind color mixing, matching, seeing and knowledge of the actual paint ( based on manufacturers variations) is soo much more clear to me! I will no longer just "trust my instincts" --leading to much frustration and inefficiency!
I am sure painting will be more pleasurable.
I have never had a class other than UTube instruction but your clases have been a gift to this now 81 year old!
Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart :)

Thank you so much for another great lesson. I think that depicting light is my favorite thing about painting, so this quick tips always makes me grab a notebook to better remember what you've said ❤️

I love how thoroughly you explained everything. There wasn’t an assumption that the viewer is supposed to already know these things which I find was my biggest problem while learning back in the day. What a wonderful video ❤️

Thank you for another wonderful lesson. I don’t know what I would do without you! As you are kind to request questions, I would like to put the concept of ‘Tangents’ to you. I was watching a painting show on PBS and the artist pointed out something that didn’t look right to me also, and he said three lines were intersecting and that he must move one. He was using oil, so he easily lowered the roof line of the furthest building and bingo! The building receded, and the whole painting looking ‘true’ again. I tried to google this ‘faux pas’ but haven’t found a satisfactory explanation. I feel cheeky asking, but you invite us to, so this is my request. I know you will explain it in a way that even I can understand!
Thanks again for your wonderful channel and website and weekly emails. You are very dear to me.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Dianne! I am currently learning painting with acrylics where paint is drying a lot faster. Would you recommend using oil paint when learning color mixing to have more time adjusting colors?

Dear Dianne,
I have been wondering how you keep you paints so fresh in your paint box.
I would appreciate a quick answer.
Thank you very much.

Okay! I'm switching from watercolour to acrylics! There's so much control on what you want to create, especially the values! Watercolour gets frustrating!🙄
