How To Get Huge Portions At Chipotle

Chipotle is known for its generous portions and affordable cuisine.

But with a few simple tips, you can get even more food from the popular burrito chain.

Quora user James Pan explained a few of his tips for getting the best burrito possible:

Smile at your server. "Seriously, this is important," Pan says.
Get a burrito bowl. Business Insider's analysis confirms that you get substantially more food by ordering the bowl instead of a traditional burrito.
Ask for a tortilla on the side. This is free.

I work at chipotle everything was spot on till the last tip. You'll still get the same portions to avoid those same customers coming back at earlier hours fussing us out for not giving the same portions. But, i don't think people understand how big of a deal the first one is. BE NICE TO YOUR SERVERS! I swear on everything we are SO generous to nice people. This is not just me trying to complain cause customers can be mean but seriously, we've gone as far as giving free bowls or buy one get ones because the customers were so polite. It's refreshing to us so we try to show our appreciation.

I used to work at a Moes when I was in highschool and I can tell you being polite is probably what'll get you the furthest.. Going in at night works sometimes too but I remember it got out of hand because word got out we were basically giving away food minutes prior to closing and lines of people would start showing up at 8:55 when the store closed at 9

in all honesty coming in late at night makes us want to give you LESS meat just because we are trying to pre close and we are getting nothing done due to last minute customers BUT i totally agree about smiling to the worker it truly does make a difference and asking for extra rice and all that is good too and normally we shouldnt mind.

I work there and people who come before close I give them less then normal at times because when u have customers come running in before close and you're closing it's kinda annoying

Go when busy, they just throw the food in. I ask for two proteins, double tortilla, both beans, both rice. I always get charged for 1 meat. About 5 lbs of burrito. It could feed two people but I eat them alone.

You can get two tortillas on the side for free btw ! And/or in some places you can get tacos on the side too

Their guac is not all that great. Not sure why the restaurants treat it like filet mignon. I can make it at home for next to nothing.

i honestly can't stand people like this, do you really need that much food? I work here and I've had someone order quadruple everything, using 3 tortillas to roll it, and only paying 7.35. Thats ridiculous, and you look like a heathen. Not to mention, there is a line behind you and that's completely rude. Also, our servings are how much we're allowed to give as an employee, when we give you extra we're being GENEROUS. When we give you the right amount that we're supposed to, we're just following the rules, which may seem like we're depriving you lol.Btw, you get the same amount of guac inside your bowl as you would in a side cup lol. This isn't a hack video, this is just how to be super parsimonious.
