I work in one of these factories. We don't use the scrubber, we use high-pressure water, food-grade soap and ozone water.

I worked for a water company. It was just a high jet of sanitized solution that got sprayed everywhere. I would manually scrub anything that was noticeable though (outside of bottle). I once found a dead mouse inside a bottle and just broke the neck and got rid of that bottle. Didn't want it reused.

By hand ? How many machines they have and how many bottles do they handle each day ?

... They fill them with a gallon of water and a drop of dish soap, then put them in a paint mixer. Dump result. To Rinse, Add a gallon of water, paint mixer, dump result. Final Rinse, add a gallon of water, paint mixer, dump resault. Done. took 5 minute total.
