I did this several times alone when I was in my 20s (unlike you, I couldn't get anyone to go with me).
One time I built and suffered through a minimal 'sarcophagus'. Warm enough and endured he claustrophobia, so I went to sleep for hours, only to wake thinking it was so long, it must be morning. Dug down for my watch to the dismal truth..., it was only 145am.
Another time I build a snow cave, enough space for 3 (2 girls to come the next day). Sadly, no girls came.

Omgggg i ❤ it! I’m from maine. Especially when i was a kid we got Tons of snow! Snow pilled so high you could touch tree tops. And we, me and neighborhood kids would spend winter building massive snow forts! Tunnels from one end of the street to the bottom. Your cave just brought back so many memories!
