People, it's taller inside because the smoke has to have a place to go. You might enjoy watching the first episode of that tiny home TV series guy, I think his name is Bryce something? The first episode of his second series about ancient homes (vs tiny homes)! It's fascinating with regard to this topic.

This looks great, I think this must be how early settlers used to live a fire in the centre of very large round-houses, families would live in hilltop forts. There was always a central fire going so they could cook and keep warm.

Great job. I haven't built anything like that, so I'm humble to suggest a Bear proof entry, and or a emergency exit. Looks like a beautiful relaxing place to enjoy the winter weather.
