Just a sidenote, when the County of Nice was annexed to France, Italy was not yet a unified nation. And the King of what would become a unified Italy ceded the county to the French as a thank you for their essential role in liberating most of Northern Italy from Austro-Hungarian rule. There was a referendum but the king did apply some pressure in order to make the transition smooth. The French didn't have much trouble absorbing the county that has already been part of France many times before. When in the next century, fascist Italy invaded the county and tried to annex it, the locals didn't accept it or Italian rule.

19:41 in... Wow your puzzle of le "Mont saint-Michel" is amazing bro ! That must have taken you a lot of time.
I am Danish but living in Luxembourg. Every time people come from far away, they what to visit Paris and le Mont saint Michel!
From Luxembourg it takes 4 hours to go to Paris... much more to go to the Mont Saint (much mor farther away) but it is really a superb place to visit... I have been there 5 times and always seing new stuff. I especially like discovering the small trails that I have never seen (but it can be a bit hard to go on those if you are not in a good condition and are scared of heights)

22:02 in... yea you get the "Harry Potter" wibe etc but they got it from the real existing stuff not the other way around. This has been around for centuries... I know now a place where you can eat (only 15 people at the same time max) really good french food and not just for tourists

You'd like to know how much it costs to build a medieval city like Carcassonne. In reality, I don't think it can be estimated. We'd have to talk about billions.
A unique experiment on this theme was attempted in France: building a medieval castle using only the techniques of the time. Everything was created on-site, From cutting the stone in the surrounding quarries to harnessing the horses.
I t was necessary to reinvent and imagine techniques that had disappeared entirely with the eyes and minds of people from the Middle Ages.
It took more than twenty-five years. Today, the castle is almost finished.
Since the beginning of its construction, it can be visited by paying an entrance ticket, which partly finances its construction.
Moreover, you can watch YT videos in English about this incredible castle, for example (duration: 10 min 52): “Presentation of the castle of Guédelon in English by Julie Sonveau (Castle of Guedelon).” But there are many others (videos).

C'est un château fort construit depuis des décennies avec des moyens et dés méthodes identiques au moyen âge..
Chaque artisant constructeur à son atelier que tu peux découvrir au fil de la découverte du site..
Puis tu as VÉZELAY la merveilleuse très proche ..

Mont Saint Michel is not a "château" (a castle as you say) this is an abbey

But your puzzle is great. I have tried some of those but it is not my thing. I like LEGO... so I have done almost every one that is 18+ (the Saturn V, the big Porsche 911 RSR, the Yamaha motorcicle, the Lamborginy huracan etc). I am just not good at puzzles
