You’re not wrong when you said each state is like it’s own country, it’s one of the big reasons why many Americans don’t travel outside the country because we have everything here. Mount Rushmore has the presidents faces on it

He basically covers the East Coast and the West Coast. He omitts the entire Central part of the country and the Southern coast along the Gulf of Mexico. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

"Every state is like it's own country"

*That's precisely the point.*

As someone who has visited alot of these places.. I would tell you that most are the starter list of sights to see. America has so much to offer, you could spend a life time visiting all the great sights.

The Boston tea party: Colonial Americans got mad at all the taxes from England, dressed up like native Americans, snuck aboard British shipping boats, and threw all the cargo (mostly tea) overboard into the water.

He missed the Great Lakes, the largest freshwater system in the world.

I live in Michigan, to give you perspective on distance: you can start at the bottom of my state, drive north 6 hours, and if if you look to your left, it’s still the same lake.

This list is OK. It is primarily based on the places the narrator visited as opposed to it being a GENERAL list of some of the beautiful places because there are so many that were left out. Not bad.

Britain has some great stuff, too. Stonehenge. the White Cliffs of Dover. the Scottish moors... when we lived there, my parents used to take us to see a different castle every month.

L3WG, two things: 1) He said, "you can sink your car when the salt isn't dry." Then you can't drive your car out of those salt flats 'cause you have to wait till the ground dries so the wheels don't become mired. 2) The cool thing about the sand dunes here is that they're not in the middle of a desert. If you're in Africa, for example, there is only the Sahara and nothing else, but here, it's more like a great big playground situated in the middle of arable land and natural beauty. If I had to choose between going to the sand dunes here and playing in a desert anywhere else I would DEFINITELY choose the United States. Out West isn't the only place here with sand dunes, incidentally. You can find them up in Michigan, which is known for thick forests and arable land. Crazy, isn't it? To think that in the middle of all that rich vegetation you would find SAND DUNES. Like, what are they even doing there?? USA has her problems but damn I love this country.

I’m in New England. Another beautiful thing that I love so much about New England are the many stone walls which are also modeled from England. We have many towns, rivers, ponds and cities named after English towns and cities. We also have named many towns, cities and bodies of water Native American. It’s indeed beautiful and quaint.

The mountain you're talking about with the Presidential faces is called Mount Rushmore. It's located in South Dakota. The Crazy Horse monument is also there, in the Black Hills.

This video misses some amazing places on the East Cost. The Appalachian Trail runs the mountains all the way from Maine to Georgia. You also have the Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs through the Blue Ridge Mountains from Virginia to Asheville North Carolina. Both are beautiful beyond belief. There Horse Cave in Kentucky, Penns Caves in Pennsylvania, The Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, The Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee, Niagara Falls in New York, just to name a few.

People from the Eastern Hemisphere often plink on Yanks for not traveling more, or not even having a passport. But we don’t really need to. There is so much to see and do in the USA, you can never do it all in one lifetime.

The Boston Tea Party (revolt) ruined today’s equivalent of $1, 700, 000.00 or 1, 318, 157.90 pounds, so it was a pretty big FU at the time.

Who comes to the Pacific Northwest and calls the city of Seattle the most beautiful part? No one does. I live in Seattle and the nature all around this place is completely stunning. We have Olympic National Park, lakes, forested islands, waterfalls and super lush forests for days here. Plus we have Mt Tahoma (Rainier) looking down on us with it's stunning natural beauty. I also lived in Salt Lake city for a while and yes, it's beautiful there but the salt flats are incredibly boring. Go the opposite direction and you find the stunning beauty of the Rockies. But if you go to Utah you HAVE to go to southern Utah. Arches National Park is there and it's my favorite place on the planet. They also have Zions, Bryce Canyon, Dead Horse Point and Goblin Valley. You could spend 2 weeks there and see something new and beautiful every day. The place where they uglied up perfectly beautiful nature by carving the face of a bunch of old dead white guys is called Mount Rushmore, btw. lol

Also the Boston tea party was not a war. It was before america become america, and they were still under control of England and the King. England raised taxes on tea for the colonists, and they threw the tea into the ocean. Theres a whole lot of information im forgetting, but im just summarizing what i know off the top of my head.

The bridge you were afraid of in Oregon is called Multnomah Falls and it's beautiful. It's also very safe and misty. If you are adventuresome, you can hike a mile up to the top of the ridge above where the water come from. It's an excellent view of the Columbia River Gorge from there. It's not on the coast, but is next to the Columbia River and the scenic highway.
