Zelenskiy Rules Out Peace Plan Made Without Ukraine

President Zelenskiy has ruled out accepting any peace plan between Russia and the United States that doesn't involve Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy knows a thing or two about wearing different guises. As a comedian, humor was his armor. As a wartime leader it was military fatigues. But there was no disguising the sense of betrayal reverberating in Ukraine as the president put on a brave face to let the world know about his latest dispiriting call with Donald Trump.

The US president had earlier spoken for 90 minutes with Vladimir Putin and for all intents and purposes sold Ukraine out, extinguishing any hope for NATO membership or American boots on ground. Russia would probably keep most of the territory it had snatched over the years. All Zelenskiy could do or say about Trump was to “appreciate his genuine interest.”

President Zelenskyy has really come into his own. When this war first started he had a totally different demeanor. I could tell he was scrappy and ready to fight- a leader, but a rather “young” leader- hadn’t yet lost much sleep. Maybe that would describe him? But still very new at his job. Now, when I watch him and listen to him now, I am really impressed by the command he has developed. He is committed to his country and it is absolutely inspiring. Especially considering the state of our country and the leadership we currently have … leading us right into hell and no bus ticket or plan b to get us out.

I stand with Ukraine. May she always know the sweetness of her sovereignty, and may she always be blessed and protected. May those that wish her harm see those wishes knock on their door and may sun always shine when she’s cold, the rain fall she’s thirsty and the wind pat her back like an old friend.
