Yale Assure Wi-Fi Smart Lock Auto Unlock and Lock Review Demo

When our old Z-Wave Schlage deadbolt finally stopped working, we wanted to replace it with something even smarter. We wanted a lock that had an intelligent auto-unlock feature. We found that the only locks to really have this were August and the company that bought August - Yale. The Yale Assure WiFi SL Lock uses both your location AND Bluetooth to unlock your door when you arrive home, but not trigger false unlocks if you've just walked to the edge of your property or something. It really is brilliant! And it also has a great auto-locking feature. Of course it also can be locked and unlocked in the app as well as on your Apple Watch. You can also easily set temporary guest codes in the app making it a great choice for AirBNB or Vrbo rentals. It's also widely compatible with 3rd party interfaces such as the Yale Access App, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, HomeKit, Phillips Hue and Samsung SmartThings. Good video. But I'm confused on the Auto Unlock. What if you have more than one door with this set up? When you come into the zone will it lock all of them? I wouldn't want that. Cheers.

I have two questions about the auto-unlock feature. 1) I am thinking of getting the Yale Assure Lock 2, which is slightly different. My wifi is not great at my house but I use GPS straight to my house all the time. If wifi doesn't work well, but GPS still knows where I am, will it still unlock the door? 2) If I am upstairs in my house with the door locked, and my husband comes home, will it auto-unlock for him?

How long can one get out of the batteries if only using WiFi on a vacation home that's not often used?

Does the auto lock feature only get triggered when your phone leaves the house and then comes back so once you arrive home and close the door behind you the lock auto locks behind you? Also, what happens if you arrive home and it auto unlocks but you use a different door to come into the house (I come in through the garage) will it just automatically just lock back up again? -Thanks

Mine unlocks itself around 1am every day, it also unlocks at random times

Auto Unlock is great as it is based on your location. But auto lock is timer based, not phone location based. If you forget your phone at home you may be locked out.
