My theory is that there was a time in history when communication to the planet was attempted via laser projection and the humans at the time marked on the landscape where the projection appeared, just because it would have been the thing to do at the time.
A matching of technological understanding for communication would have to be pretty rare in the universe.

I find it highly unusual that what research into samples from those lines have yet to be discussed. Those lines exibit an ability to not get weeds, moss, lichen or other ' starter " vegitation that has happened to the South American pyramids. These lines are of an unknown age, unknown depth, unknown creation ( phasers? Directed radiation?) and have not been devowered by plantlife since recorded time.

What if the nazca lines were a culture of people trying to communicate with other life. Today we send probes and messages into space, maybe this was there way of trying to find out if there was other life, just limited by the technology of there time.

Should have mentioned the recent discovery of dozens of more geoglyphs on the ground at nazca - Using radar they were able to see there are way more than what meets the eye

Cargo cult?

_During WW2 both the Japanese and Allies built temporary bases in the Pacific islands. Indigenous tribes came into contact with massive transfers of goods that were being airlifted all around them. Manufactured clothing, medicine, tools, weapons and canned foods were given to islanders in exchange for being guides and hosts._
