That is one of the finest examples of an Art Deco style home I have ever seen. My heart breaks for Monica. We lost our childhood home when my parents couldn't afford the mortgage payments anymore. We were devastated when it was put up for auction.

I found that house to have a lot of Art Deco influence; the beautiful wallpaper and gorgeous furniture. Again, I feel so bad for the daughter that she lost her family home. It must hurt knowing that she was barred from getting even those minor personal items, let alone some of her parent's mementos.

I hope someone gets to keep this place, and make it live again. I live in Florida so not many old buildings last here because of the hurricanes. We got one coming at us right now. Florida is constantly being rebuilt. I wish the daughter could have it back. Love how you are always so respectful of these beautiful places. Blessings

Thank you Lesley. That was a nice tour of a beautiful home. It really shouldn’t be left to decay.

So sad not to let the daughter keep it instead of leaving it to fall in despair. I feel so sad for her. Looks like she couldn’t even get her personal stuff.

What a lovely cozy house. Loved the architecture--fireplace and door arches, coved ceilings, windows, and doors. Also loved the decorating choices. I believe the little metal tool you picked up that had three "pinchers" was used for picking up ice cubes, or pickles or olives. I have never seen nor heard of radiator humidifiers before, but what a great idea. I noticed quite a few pictures that once hung on the walls were missing. So maybe the daughter was allowed to get a few things? But the government not allowing the daughter to at least sell the furniture and household items and the house itself to help pay debts seems ridiculous. What a waste.

That house and everything in it are beautiful. It’s sad to see these places just left to decay. That place could definitely be rehabilitated. It’s structurally sound and all of the furnishings look perfect. Unfortunately taxes seem to really be so hard on people. They can’t even afford to take on a fan ily home. The style of that house is something i would love to live in.

I loved the furniture in this home. I especially loved the staircase with the leaf design. The kitchen was perfect. It is so sad she couldn't leave this to her daughter, at least her personal things and the furniture they should let her keep.

I hope that good fortune will come to Monica so that she can take over the house, its furnishings and memoribilia and do the needful. Everything is still so pristine, let alone the Persian rugs which could be worth a lot of money. Thank you for sharing this video with us Lesley

That's the best preserved house I've seen in a long time. The furnishings and architecture are wonderful. The place is still so clean an tidy that someone could move right in. It really makes me angry that the daughter wasn't even allowed to remove any personal or business items from the house. I agree with you it should never be that way. Those pills "Aerius" are allergy pills. The bed at 40:54 looks like someone is laying in it. Very nice one Lesley.
