That really was a gorgeous house but it is also very sad looking at their forgotten memories! It's nice that people like you keep their memory alive. I never understand why family members aren't interested in preserving their history. ☹️

Depending on the state this house is in and others abandoned full of items, it is possible the last owner went into a nursing home and ended up with Medicaid to pay for their care. When that happens, these states have a Medicaid recoup clause and homesteads are taken by the state to recoup the funds. Now, the state is not interested in the house but the land it sits on. Many are never put on the market to be sold. It's one way of the state to take back ownership of the land.

I can’t even stand how sad that such a grand home could be left to just rot away. All the antiques and original architecture would be worth a small fortune in total. Obviously not many people know about it or it would have been cleaned out and vandalized a long time ago. She must have been beautiful in her day. Horrible shame.

I love how respectful you are with the former owner's things.

Looking at the outside you wouldn't think to have found all of this stuff. This place is unbelievable. Well done, Thank you for this find.

I would LOVE to go through these old homes, I've always wanted to go in odd shaped houses to see how they were laid out and all the treasures they've left behind

That house has so many family photos, antiques, and valuable things. I wouldn't leave all these precious things behind me. These things will stay forever for the next generation to remember.

I believe this is maybe the most beautifully built and laid out plan of a house Ive ever seen. I just imagine it clean and decorated with those beds and different old pieces, I love it, and it would be my dream house. I was born and raised in the South.

This is incredible!! Those transoms over the doorways were for airflow through the house, especially important in the south to keep any breeze flowing through to cool the house down.

It actually pains me to see this incredible place left to rot. What a truly remarkable piece of architecture and thank you for documenting it!!! I second the other person who said it’s worth reaching out to Laine at Our Restoration Nation to bring it to their attention. Check out some of the other beautiful true historic restorations they’ve done. Again great video!

Someone is taking care of it as the yard is not overgrown! Beautiful architecture! Old homes have character that new ones do not!

Thank you. Brought back memories of my parents who wrote love letters when my father was in WWII. I, their daughter, am now 74 years old. The fact their letters and WWII items are still in the house indicates that the last resident was probably their son who left everything as his parents had it. I get the feeling he had no children. It is possible that any relatives may have died without surviving children. Very sad that no one to retrieve these personal items before the house falls in.

Am from Australia, can't understand why relatives don't care about what happens to this gorgeous historic treasure! The entire household contents are amazing and beautiful, really need saving. The architecture of the house is absolutely beautiful, it's almost criminal to let nature rot and ruin it! Thank you for filming it.🦘

I loved hearing the old train pass through. Moments like that shouldn’t be wasted. Think of the time when that home was in its prime and the old Air Force pilot and his lovely wife in the home of their dreams, just relaxing and to hear that old train come through town was a symbol of a time that America was thriving and full of people that were proud if their heritage. That home is a prime example of what our parents and grandparents were all about. Family was a sacred thing. Freedom was accomplished becsgse if that young msn you see in those pictures risking his life, spending months at a time away from his beautiful wife that he no doubt missed dearly. I’m sure those old letters from him to her were sone of her prized possessions. I can only imagine the love those two had for one another. Very good video buddy. The best I have seen yet. It saddens me to think that old hoise is falling to shambles. I’m sure the old couple would be proud to see it preserved. Simply amazing.

It always saddens yet amazes me to see family photos still all over the home. If I was moving that would be the first thing I would take. That house is STUNNING! I have MS and can't do these adventures though I would give anything if I could. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you.

So beautiful but yet so sad to see everything going to ruin. I am with you on the older homes. I would rather have an older home than a new one. They are built so much better.

I dont understand how you can leave so much personal items behind. Always get the feeling that people don't deserve it then. Such a beautiful house 😍

Omg! This house is absolutely amazing! So much left behind! I’d love to fix this one up and live in it! Victorian homes are my favorite type of home. Excellent video Bigbankz! Best to you as always!

I wondered why this house was left abandoned until I heard the train go by. Those tracks must me right on top of the house. There are so many antiques and collectables in there, I'm amazed it has not been stolen and vandalized. I hope someone will save her before she falls apart.
