What Mark Hamill THOUGHT About the Prequel Trilogy in Star Wars

I totally understand why he feels so strongly, because Mark Hamill was once in the position of Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen.

He sees himself reflected on them with the awful corny dialogue for the original trilogy and the prequels created by George Lucas thrown at them and the awkard acting Lucas elicited from them, he was there and experienced it all, first hand, with the embarrassment he felt, the uncertainty of how people would receive his performance, so he understands how it feels to be in the receiving end of some of the mocking and hate people had for them, he understands what they had to go through, he's sympathetic.

The only difference is:

1. Back then the internet and social media were not a thing, so people openly hating on others was not that common, and the anonymity of the internet didn't exist, so people wouldn't go to places like forums and stuff talking shit about other people so carelessly. (Plus, by the time they filmed Star Wars in 1976-1977 Mark Hamill was out of High School and wasn't that prone to be prayed upon and picked on by bullies and haters.)

2. Star Wars was the hugest thing ever when it first came out, so all the hate and mocking was evened out by the praise and love they got drowned on.

He's absolutely right, the Prequels weren't the greatest thing ever but so were the Original Trilogy, give the original actors a break, they did a great job with what they had and some of them, like Jake Lloyd were just kids! For God's sake!
