This song sounds nice and is very coquettecore, but unfortunately I have to agree with some of the comments here. The song “Daddy Issues” by The Neighbourhood doesn’t have anything to do with age gaps in relationships. It’s about knowing what it’s like to have had a broken childhood, and the complexity of a love that grows through that shared pain. Conceptually, it has more in common with age /regression/ (which is nonsexual and trauma-based, by the way—it’s a coping mechanism which can be completely involuntary for some people) than the concept of an age gap kink, even if some of the lyrics do touch on a kind of hurt/comfort sexuality. So I don’t think the comparison really works. It seems to me like maybe you read the title and just ran with the more pornographic connotations the term has these days. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the full version of your song is great, I just feel a lack of media literacy regarding this particular selling point.
