They talk about unrealistic beauty standards for women today, but just imagine women going to this movie in 1940 with these two gorgeous specimens up on the screen.

The day she met Desi was when she was filming the fight scene. He wasn't impressed because she looked too rough. The next time he saw her, she was being herself, and he was smitten.

"Star ⭐ bright Star ✨ light, I wish I may I wish I might, to have the dream, I wish tonight". I believe that was the line, MO'h says. A deeply felt moment in the film. This was a long awaited film, I had been looking out for, once I read LB's film credits. And where she met DA. I Purchased at 49th Street/Broadway RKO video store a year after her passing. Along with "the Big Street". ❤ Directed by Dorothy Arzner. One of few women director's of the day (actually just her and Ida Lupino, at the time). Notice how carefully construed the female character's were given a good development in their performance for wants, needs and above all their differences, yet in their mutual bond to survive. Great story telling movie 🎥🍿 buy it, see it!#!
