SPENCER'S MOUNTAIN: O'Hara Sings 'In The Garden'

Maureen's sister passed away recently. It's only fitting that this be uploaded in her memory.

A wonderful film Spencer's MTN. was . But to hear Maureen O'Hara, sing that hymn, in that setting was so remarkable, I never ever forgot it, or Her astounding voice. I never knew she had such a beautiful voice. I only heard her sing once before, in The Parent Trap, and it wasn't this beautiful. RIP Maureen O'Hara.

Thanks much for posting this. I am 39yrs old & watched this movie several times & I cry everytime. This scene reminds me of my Grandma's funeral. I love the sound of the wind. When I was 11 years old, my Dad and Mom took us kids to the newly opened International Airport in Melbourne. Part of the event, we joined a line of people walking into and through a Boeing 707. just two feet away from me as I filed past, sat Maureen O'Hara being interiewed by a reporter. Later, I was told that at the time she was married to an airline pilot who had flown the 707 to Melbourne for the Airport opening. I remember her cos I though she was so beautiful, even at 11 years of age.
