It’s really powerful how they never once show Obito’s face. And the lyrics frame him as incredibly empathetic.

This has always been one of the greatest endings in the entire series. It’s so tragic and dark and it perfectly depicts Obito completely losing himself in his own pain and hatred. Seriously, this song as well as Obito’s characterization are madly underrated. 💯

0:52 At 0:59 is the best part of the ending.

It's litteraly Obito, alone, versus everyone ... Friends, mentor, comrades, ...

This Ending is basically the entire history of Obito and how he went from being someone wanting to be hokage to like wanting to bring the whole world down with him. Damn one of the best endings

This is the only Naruto ED that I watched every single time. So good, and quickly but beautifully summarizes Obito

The reason many of us like this ending is that it tells a story in 3 steps:
- The first, where Obito is in his "Kamui" dimension, looking up and thinking about his life (and I think some of us would like to teleport to a world like that, alone...)
- The second, he thinks of his childhood, a childhood in which he drooled alone with his dreams, but in which he had a pure heart, until he sacrificed himself for his team that represented his only family after his grandmother
- And the third, the sudden descent into darkness, the death of her beloved, his pure heart is corrupted, with this music and an sharp violin pressing on the gravity of what happened, followed by :
-> The destruction of his native village, because the villages and their political wars destroyed his dreams.
-> Fight his only childhood friend, because he betrayed him somewhere.
-> Kill his last allies, because he has no confidence and he just wants revenge on this world
-> And end up being one against all during the Great War. Because he has always fought life alone after

It's a really cruel story... That's why at the end, we saw Obito just close him eye, thinking 1 seconde, and then release the demon, like it was inside him for all this time...

0:45 Probably my favorite part based on the sheer emotion shown within 3 seconds. It creates empathy for Obito and brings so much power to the ending.

1:07 to me is the best part. the way obito looks up and the gedo statue arises from the darkness... it's art.

Coming back to this ending makes me remember why obito is my Favorite character

Obito is one of the few villains to actually get what he wants in the end. For his case, he actually unified all nations against him which in turn he unintentionally created world peace.

This ending sums up the curse of an Uchiha, forever consumed by hate and bitterness. Sasuke was the first to break away from the hate cycle because he had team 7 with him, but Obito he was alone underground for decades everyone thinking he's dead, suddenly goes back to the surface and the first thing he sees is his beloved beloved becoming a jinchuriki against her will and his friend's chidori stabbing right through her. His despair awakened the mangekyou and we all know what price he had to pay to obtain it.

1:01 that's some symbolism over there!

The gedo statue rising up the way it did at 1:07 made me feel like it was representing obito, the way it was roaring and had blood running down from its eyes as if it was letting out all pain and rage he endured throughout his life. Definitely one of my top favorite endings by far.

definitely one of the best villain ever created. the tragic backstory, the love he felt for rin still lingering despite the sheer pain and hatred he had inside all those years, i dont know what else to say, he's a masterpiece. also rin's image sequence still hurts. i wonder what impact she could've done to obito and kakashi if she also got reanimated.
