This ending was so surprising. Using a cute pop song with a similing Madara and awful death scenes. Genius.

This ED has always felt like a love letter to fans that took note of all the lore and world-building added over the course of the series. The montage of nearly every major death or tragedy from shinobi history perfectly illustrates what Madara considers Hashirama's "failed" world, and why he wants to replace it. And since we as the audience have bore witness to each of those events, we can better understand his motivation.

1:00 love the symbolism of the leaf breaking as madara sees all the major deaths, implying the failings of hasirama's system and it must be shattered.

0:23 - 0:45 Storytell the birth of shinobi system

0:45 - 0:57 This hit the hardest most realizing how much sacrifices and sufferings each characters had undergone due to the failed sytem.

0:58 We realized Madara is right. It took one common enemy for the world to unite.

0:01 "Hello I'm Madera, are you tired of the life you lead, don't know what the future holds? Well join me and my organization in ushering in the new way of life, the Infinite Tsukoyomi where everyone wins. No pain, no lost loved ones, and no fighting other villages. And everyone gets to be a kage."

The fact that Madara didn’t do all of that to rule the world or anything. He just literally wanted peace— in his own convoluted way. Which is honestly amazing by the creator because he in fact wasn’t really a villain. He was very much chaotic good.

In a way, he scared everyone so good that the great villages are now closer than ever in Boruto.

0:47 Madara looking at all the pain people suffered, especially Neji, Hyashi Hyūga, Gaara, Naruto and Sasuke childhood have had to suffer through the leaf with the hole in it was so beautifully symbolic!!
1:00 this part gets Soo catchy!!! I loved the cute music with Madara Uchiha rampaging!

Poor Madara😢. He wanted to live in a world where there's no violence in the ninja world. So he thought launching the Infinite Tsukuyomi would put an end to the clashes and deaths of many shinobi.

Lyrics:
You will never be alone
Don't be scared
Take my hand into the promised land
So open, your eyes
Just look, up into the sky...
Somehow, fists began to fly
Even though, I just meant to say, "It's been a while!"
Walked away with bruises bared,
When all we,
Wanted was,
To form a bond to share.
Forgive me...
I'll be, in your memories
just believe,
and wait for me.
Don't you worry,
I'm coming!
The burning will of the fire,
You've passed down the torch,
A flame inspires!
We'll share the pain,
We'll stand up again,
If our shoulders are blown off what then?
We'll fight on, no matter the cost,
For the bonds we thought we'd lost!
And from the start,
Even if we're apart,
I will keep that bond that we used to treasure in my heart,
Locked away forever.

Quite possibly one of the best endings ever

The high pitched voice and the light tone of the ED perfectly mirrors a dream madara has had since his childhood. But then its also contradicts the deaths and horrors that come w war, and makes it almost creepy. This ending is honestly RLY well done

the happy yet dark vibe of this theme is so fitting for Madara. This is my favorite ending theme ever

I always thought this song choice for a Madara ending is questionable but the more I think about it, the more genius it is.

Madara's whole plan is putting the world under the spell of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, in which each person lives their "ideal" reality despite being trapped for eternity. The first shot of Madara having a smile on his face, inviting you to experience this presumably perfect world, only to show its twisted colors afterwards.

In addition seeing the Shinobi warfare over the years with each blood splash slowly forming the Allied Shinobi Alliance's sign (which is also the Kanji for Shinobi). Even though the warring nations are together, in Madara's head this world is still wrought with war which changed his perspective for life.

Lastly, I love how the song sort of ends on a quiet note without an outro. Just the sudden cold realization Madara achieved the Ten Tails form and everyone is in trouble. The point of waking up from the dream and we are left with a nightmare.

Song is cute too. I do think in terms of theming it's one of the best of Shippuuden.
