What I've been encountering with learning Java from someone who has zero background in programming is that all the documentation/online tutorials do not actually work. The code or syntax or whatever you call it is out of date and no longer is compatible. So how can I learn if everything is out of date?It sucks I been doing it on and off for 6 months and know the basics, but when it comes to full on project tutorials, theres always some error that cannot be resolved because of the code is no longer supported

I think java serves as a great foundation of Android development, because there's still more code written in java than there is kotlin and that's a new language. I love Java it's an excellent language to learn especially starting out in programming. Plus it has been used in a variety of applications besides back end work.
