By overcoming isometric training, can you become as strong as a powerlifter or bodybuilder? Is there a limit to how strong you can become using an Isotrainer or Isomax?

The answer is a bit more nuanced than a straight yes or no because we need to be clear on if we're talking about general strength or a specific application of strength.

Freaking strong, that's how strong. Two words...Alexander Zass.

I you’re not bothered about numbers or specific exercises then isometrics alone can still build muscle and strength. It’s another very effective method to build a better body. Just because no one does it in isolation does not mean it does not work. Thanks.

In other words, ISO's can build great leg strength, but that does't mean you're going to be a powerful kicker. For that you need to kick and get your brain locked in on the mechanics of kicking. Same with any movement pattern. Makes perfect sense. Thank you!

This has to be one of the best explanations of isometrics vs. dynamic excercise I've seen in a looong time. 👍

Been doing isometrics as about 50% of my training for the past couple of months and I have been having great results, especially with rehabbing old injuries. My elbows for years didn't like doing many curls, and my knees were starting to feel like they were made of glass. Both of those are mostly resolved IN 2 MONTHS. I also feel like my speed is higher, and I just look and feel more "dense. Definitely going to keep it up. Theo only downside is my endurance is a bit lower, probably due to doing less movement in general, but the pluses definitely outweigh the slight drop in endurance, which could probably be counteracted with more cardio, I just don't have time.

Also to be able to do a planche on rings you would be very strong in your bench press and dips

I see that Nossk Twin Pro! My Nossk Cyclone arrives today. I am also considering the Nossk TNT. Both add instability and unilateral moves in the mix. The Cyclone has a pulley. TNT has a metal guide. Cyclone offers less friction, TNT offers more (think T2 Isotrainer, Iso-Flo, Lebert HIIT).

Speaking of max strength; how do I know when I've reached it?
