Hear the AEA N13 and the AEA R88A micing an upright piano (Yamaha U1) in three different configurations!

The AEA N13 is a mid-field active bidirectional ribbon microphone that specializes in capturing fast transient responses due to its 1.2 micron thick ribbon (AEA's thinnest ribbon yet!).

The AEA R88A is a active stereo bidirectional ribbon mic that utilizes two AEA Big Ribbons in Blumlein, which allows stereo recording that's easy to set up and sounds true to life.

Input List: AEA N13s - AEA TRP3 Preamp - Apollo 16 Converter - Pro Tools DAW - 96K/24bit - No post processing

✅ About AEA Ribbon Mics & Preamps:

AEA Ribbon Mics and Preamps is family owned and operated in beautiful Pasadena, California. Proudly independent, we still manufacture all our microphones by hand right here in the United States.

Since the creation of the R44C in 1998, AEA has expanded into designing and building new ribbon microphones, each with a unique application and function, using the same RCA traditions. Over the years, AEA has advanced ribbon technology, using new materials, updated manufacturing techniques. The company now makes a whole line of ribbon mics that can be configured to give a group of musicians a unique sonic signature.
