Question 1 gives me pause, too. According to the video, the correct answer is C.

Question 1. What does Six Sigma mean?
A. ultimately reduces process costs.
B. decreases customer satisfaction.
C. is a methodology for process improvement.
D. is a statistical concept that seeks to find variation in processes.
E. all of the above.

Compare this Q&A to CSSC’s “Six Sigma White Belt Training Manual, ” June 2018 edition, page 5, paragraph 1:

“Six Sigma… is both a methodology for process improvement [C] and a statistical concept that seeks to define the variation inherent in any process. [D] …The Six Sigma method ultimately reduces process costs [A] and increases customer satisfaction. [opposite of B].”

Answers A, C and D are all correct. If B were reworded as “INCREASES customer satisfaction, ” the correct answer would be “E. all of the above.”

Alternatively, one could keep B the same, and reword E to say “E. Answers A, C and D.”

Question 32 (on Process Capability Index or PCI) is correctly answered, but it is a Green Belt level question. It is addressed on page 184 of the 2018 CSSC "Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Training Manual."

I can't make sense of Question 34: "The chart used for rearrangement of time [?] when any change is detected in a process. A. IPWA chart. B. CWMA chart. C. EWMA Chart D. CUSUM Chart. The correct answer is D. CUSU Chart."

I think this is meant to be a question about Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) charts, so the answer is "correct."

Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) is touched on (briefly) in Green Belt level training. It is a statistical method used to enhance sensitivity, including older data to highlight recent non-random changes in process performance. It is advanced--not a White Belt topic.

Question 31 (on Measurement System Analysis or MSA) is correctly answered, but it does not appear to be a White Belt level question. It belongs in Yellow belt or above. (See 2018 CSSC publication, "Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Training Manual, " pages 20-21, 122-123.)

Respectfully, I contend that the answer to Question 20 (at 6 m 30 s) is incorrect.

Question 20: Which of the following Belt Levels usually require a Six Sigma project be completed before a Six Sigma Certification is awarded?
A. White Belt. B. Yellow Belt. C. Green Belt. D. Black Belt. E. Master Black Belt. F. None of the above. G. All of the above.

Video's answer: G. All of the above.(at 6 m 48 s)

According to the White Belt Certification Training Manual*, page 21, "Most certification programs require individuals to PASS AN EXAM [emphasis added] for certification; some require that GREEN and BLACK belt candidates also demonstrate their knowledge in the form of Six Sigma project experience."

The question should say "sometimes" rather than "usually, " and the correct answer would be C, D and E (Green Belt and Black belt certifications).

Question 11 seems incorrectly formulated/answered, when compared to CSSC’s “Six Sigma White Belt Certification Training Manual, ” June 2018 edition, page 14, paragraphs 2-3:

“…Both quality programs and continuous improvement methods look to achieve goals such as reducing errors and defects, making processes more efficient, improving customer satisfaction, and boosting profits. But quality programs are concerned with achieving a specific goal….

“…Six Sigma does work toward individual goals with regard to each project, but the projects are part of the overall culture of improvement that, in practice, is never done….”

Answer A is more closely aligned with the CSSC text, although I would reword it slightly, for clarity.

“A. Achieving ONLY a specific set goal.”

Questions 22 is also incorrectly answered, as written. (at 7 m 5s)

"Questions 22. Which of the following IS NOT a similarity between Lean and Six Sigma concepts? A. They are both concerned with continuous improvement. B. They both seek to increase instances of waste within an organization. C. They are both concerned with an overall culture of quality rather an single events that increase quality and decrease defects.

"Answer: The Correct Answer is C. The are both concerned with an overall culture of quality rather than single events that increase quality and decrease defects."

The question asked which option is NOT a similarity between Lean and Six Sigma. Clearly, the best answer is B, since NEITHER seeks to increase instances of waste. A and C are indeed features of both systems. "One of the ways Lean is similar to Six Sigma is that it is concerned with continuous improvements.... Like Six Sigma, Lean is more about an overall culture of quality than a single quality event."*

I wonder what resource is being used to generate these questions and answers? Is there controversy/contention in the industry, or are these just typos?
