One of the drawbacks you mentioned is not quite correct. Speed adjustment option is available on the new 2024 model.
Press and hold the left brake and then press the Power button twice to activate the speed control mode. Two elements on the display will start flashing. Release the brake. From now on the 3 speed modes work differently: 1: up to 15 km/h, 2: up to 20 km/h, 3: up to 25 km/h. Driving in this mode saves energy and allows you to travel longer distances. It also allows you to quickly change the driving mode in the event of a traffic control to make the scooter comply with local regulations. This means that there are 6 speed settings available.

Recently got this scooter and for a 100kg rider its definitely sluggish and not a climber on any steep hills. Quality for around 500 euro is still well worth it, and if your 80kg or less, than this thing will fit and perform really well. Do not try to drown it though.

Great Review. I'm hoping for a version that's legal in Germany. At least it already has space for a license plate. But some adjustments would still need to be made to the lighting and speed.
