I got into asset management at age 26, and I saw some people getting into the business at age 30. It's fine to break into it later in life.

I’m coming to the end of my study for the ACA and looking to break into asset management as my next career and begin the CFA. The financial edge course would be a great way for me to prepare!

I am currently a final year student completing my Honours in Finance at the University of Stellenbosch (in South Africa). Next year, I am looking to break into asset management & pursue a career in the United Kingdom. I am extremely motivated to learn & to further develop my asset management skills. Portfolio manager would be the perfect opportunity for me to break into asset management & to succeed in my graduate role. Thank you for the fantastic opportunity!

Hi Afzal!

Just read about the Portfolio Manager course and it looks really cool and interesting. I’m a soon-to-be 1st year University student doing Accounting and Finance, and your videos have offered me a lot of insight into the world I’m going to delve into. With The Portfolio Manager, I’m sure I can learn lots more and really give myself that skill and knowledge to pursue anything in the industry!

I'm a January starter, in my second year of uni. I have been watching your videos for a month now and building my application. In the process, I got a keen interest in asset management as I read about it in Vault's guide of asset management, a free resource provided by you. I really wish to pursue my career in this field and I believe doing the course of Portfolio Manager will give me an edge in the application process and enhance my knowledge. Anyways, I really wanted to thank you for posting such guided videos. You are doing great.

I'm going into my 4th year of uni and planning to do as many internships as possible before graduating. I currently have an internship in corporate finance for the fall but I really want to build a career in asset management and the portfolio manager course would set me up on the right path with the appropriate skills moving forward!

Asset Management is my true passion, and the Financial Edge course will certainly fill the gap of a specific asset management course that didn’t exist at uni!
I’m currently interning for an Alternative Capital Markets Role for a big financial institution. But will like to pivot into an asset management role as an analyst, so I believe this course will be of great help for helping with my transition!!

Keep up the great work Afzal, your content is very valuable!

I'd love a place onto the Portfolio Manager course. I'm heading into final year and it would be see how my university knowledge applied to Asset Management. I've been rejected from upwards of 30 companies in my search for a placement, and I am sure that the FE course will give me a competitive edge for graduate roles, which I will be applying to this summer.

Great vid Afzal as per usual, keep it up buddy

Thank you Afzal for this very helpful video! I am a soon-to-be senior student who started college majoring in accounting. I eventually found out that wasn't my path and fell for asset management. I'm really determined to learn investing from scratch, no matter how long it takes, so a place in The Portfolio Manager course will greatly help me achieve this goal!

Great video Afzal Hussein. Last November, I graduated from University of the West Indies, Mona Campus with BSc in Economics and Statistics. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get internships because I had to travel to the US on the J1 program to put myself through school. Now I have an internship at one of the largest Investment company in Jamaica where I got some small exposure to asset management and ever since I’ve wanted to make the switch and focus on asset management. I know I’m young (23) and have time but I want to put myself in the best position possible to achieve this. This course will greatly assist me in breaking into the asset management and developing a career in the field.
