So tired of hearing about which character is better and which one’s are irrelevant. The whole point of the game is to have your own unique team comp containing characters you enjoy playing. Never cared for “meta” in any game I’ve played unless it was absolutely necessary or impossible to do without “meta”.

What?! Ok let’s say some stuff. Steele got buffed from sparkle, she gets stronger in mono quantum. Jong yuan got indirect buffs every update with topaz, FUA set, Ruan Mei, sparkle, Fu Xuan and the pure fiction game mode. Blade synergizes well with topaz and jingliu. Kafka got directly buffed with DOT set and Blsck Swan + Ruan Mei. DHIL is buffed with sparkle, his dps is nearly doubled. Jingliu is way more flexible than Acheron and it’s easier to maintain your sp economy. Argenti is still op in Pure Fiction, and the addition of Huo Huo helps satiate his energy needs. Dr. Ratio synergies directly with Topaz and she’s an FUA character. Power creep may be prevalent, but this is an L take. You have to remember that an update can also power creep or buff a character. Kafka was once a “gimmicky” character and is now a power house. Think of Hsr characters as pieces of a puzzle. You need all the pieces to see the full picture. You’re assuming that they’re the same piece that will be replaced when a new one comes.

Seele and jingliu have different teams than acheron. They value different things from their sustainers and supporters. E2 is the realistic limit for the investment I will give any none husbando/waifu dps. E6? Yeah. Thousands of dollars will allow you to trivialize a videogame. It's not powercreep, if anything it's great they make whales pay for everything us f2p have to look forward to! It's truly the biggest bait. Love to see it.

This "powercreep" helps alot in endgame content because not even Acheron is totally effective in Pure Fiction. Herta, Himeko, Argenti AND DoT Teams go crazy

Power creep is not an issue when you can complete everything in the game with four stars that were released on day one I have been able to do everything I've needed to do with Qingqiu

Explanation: acheron is only good in fast clears like mini bosses, while jingliu is better at clearing bosses that have phases like the swarm, doomsday beast, etc. And seele is better at bosses that don't have phases like gepard, cocolia (not the final form), argenti, etc.

It honestly depends, as long as they make each character have their own unique ability, you're gonna wanna pull for them. Like Seele, she's a Quantum DPS character that can Advance Forward her action (I don't have any good/built quantum dps). And Jingliu, one of the best DPS and easy to build, literally every boss has Ice weakness so she's still relevant. It's mostly their own character/designs and their element/path. Which is honestly why I wish and also never wish for HSR to add a character that can apply any element weakness of YOUR CHOICE to an enemy.
