I will ALWAYS stand by the fact that if u want to play with a character u will be able to make them work and so I did, i use march 7th as my main sustain and I also clear moc with himeko and clara so you can use all characters if u put time and strategy into them

To answer the problems:

Standard Banner characters being weaker is not a problem. It helps promote time limited characters and assuming you have good supports you can still make Standard Characters work. Like mentioned, if someone doesn't have Jingliu, Yanqing is still usable.

Newer content can cater to powercrept heroes. Gepard is paired with Fu Xuan for high conundrum Gold and Gears runs. I recently used Yanqing against MoC 12 Aventurine Boss fight with 36 stars.

Powercreep is okay in Gacha Games. Imagine you pull a new character but you realise it's nothing better than the character you already had.

I use Welt on my Acheron team when faced against enemies that have a lot of imaginary weakness. Himeko is pretty good in pure fiction.

Like dude characters have different uses and I love Himeko for AOE flame damage
And yeah technically Welt would be replaceable but I just like him

Welt became useful as a sustain for Acheron teams, bronya is still great cause she’s a buffer, Clara is great as she can solo most of the game, bailu is eh if you don’t have anyone else she’s ok, Gepard is kinda bad, and yanqing just is awful

Honestly I genuinely like Clara and Himeko. They are really good if you build them right. (Clara OP at E1)

Gepard isn’t bad because he’s an AOE shielder.
I run Clara with other follow up units and they help each other to quickly kill an enemy, especially with her insane attack stat.
Welt delays enemy attacks and imprisons. Works super well with Ratio. Is good at breaking too. Works more like a preservation unit since you get attacked way less
Himeko + Herta is a busted pure fiction team and can work super well in a follow up team, especially with topaz.

You’re missing some crucial info in this video. The standard 5* aren’t bad, you just have good unit for crucial roles that others don’t have. As a f2p player I beat all of MoC and Pure Fiction

Himeko is actually decently strong if given enough attention, but Fu Xuan just doesn't work sometimes. Welt feels more like 4.5 ★ today. But the worst part about power creep is that every new MoC is like expecting you to have the newest characters 💀
And Bailu not having any cleanse is really awful. We either need a lightcone that can give her access to cleanse or use her with Bronya but that's just cope. I like Bailu but god damn she's so risky to run as solo sustainer, and you usually don't want more than one in your team.

Yanqing is still a solid option if you have a good shielder

I dont think comparing gepard and fu xuan is fair, since they do 2 completely different things. Gepard generates shield, and fu xuan reduces dmg. As such gepard had been proven to be more effective in AOE dominant enemies. A more effective comparison would be gepard to aventurine, which ofcourse aventurine sweep due to the insane shield uptime and how he can be built into a sub-dps

I use welt all the time with my Acheron and Imbibitor lunae (you know, the Imaginary set is in My Imbibitor lunae, that's why i use welt with him.
