True, I usually take notes because somethings I do forget.

So important to write things down. I try to go back and edit everything every few months as well. Blending journal and calendar notes with to-do lists, crossing off items, and then advancing remaining items, and my newest addition, taking a ton of screen shots to review for writing notes later, taking notes from saved Chrome tabs, notes on tax returns, to make the next year’s adjusted gross income and tax amount more determined in advance, anything and everything in writing helps me and gives me confidence in myself. I also take 3ml of Lion’s Mane tincure per day.

Many people listen to respond, to really communicate, listen to UNDERSTAND.

Even if I never look at my notes again after I've written them down, I can still recall more of what I've heard than if I never wrote down anything at all. So I've experienced firsthand this truth. Now, if I can just make it a standard to actually review my notes... LOL.

That’s the only way I can grasp and understand and retain what I have learned is to take notes read the book myself instead of listening to a podcast.

I have forgotten more than you will ever know! My uncle always said that and I now carry on the tradition. It's true for 95% of the population. Far too many out there with their heads up their asses! Keep asking questions people!

That’s not really correct. The idea that a person can’t write as fast as others can speak.

That’s how they trained us to learn in my school. The teacher spoke at a moderate pace, And we took notes as he spoke.

Later, I took a short hand course; when I was doing a lot of typing, I could type this fast as most people can speak, but taking notes by hand, seems to make a difference to learning.

So while I could write as fast as somebody could speak at a moderate pace, if practised up, I can write as fast as somebody speaks even had a fairly rapid pace, without missing anything.

But the thing is, when a person takes notes properly, it’s only to get key points down as a rule.

For thousands of years, people did it that way. And it worked for the vast majority of them.
