If you’d like to explore more then I have loads of great resources for you, including hundreds of extra videos, my comprehensive gardening ebook, my gardening app, data on everything I grow and when I grow it and so much more. Everything I do is free to use, but not to create!

My books and videos are all grounded in what I actually do, I make sure you can see the evidence. For example if I suggest sowing carrots in November, take a look at my monthly tours to see them growing and my harvest videos for May to see the actual results. I'm not just about regurgitaing information from the backs of seed packets!

For the potatoes in pots, to keep all the stems under control i simply wrap some cut to size plastic mesh fencing around them. The natural bend in the fencing pretty much holds all of the leaves upright and everything's nice and tidy.

I can't bring myself to throw plants away either. I just pop them in wherever I can make a space.

Um, don’t you have any blackbirds? Those cherries are just at the point when they start taking them. Unfortunately I chose too large a rootstock (Colt) and the wrong position to net mine safely now. The Wood Pigeons took the very early developing fruit this year, so the remainder are now covered in fruit sleeves. We used to get such heavy cropping!

Have you tried tomatoes in the 30 litre tubs before? I’m trying Tigerella in the 30 litres this year first time and they’re doing great (I’ve done 3 plants in 1 tub with a strawberry in the middle! I cannot resist maximising luckily it’s not failed me yet)

Could you do a video on all your fruit trees at home that you have in pots please? How you care for them, water etc please 🙏🌺

Hi Steve, thank´s for sharing your experiences. Q/comment: Didn´t you mention earlier that you had some issues with a badge of bought compost; could it be the same badge you put into the bin with the brassicas (brussels sprouts?) with the slow growth?

Steve, please tell us a little something on the construction of the shed. I have an idea of building a shed for my tools and pots outside my little cottage; not a stand alone, rather attached to the wall. We have up to 25 cm of snow in the winter (Stockholm/Sweden, Lat 59 N, Lon 18 E), which has to be considered contructing the angel of the roof as well as the base of the floor.

Hi Steve,
I see you have tumbling tom tomatoes in 30 litre buckets? I have put mine in 5 litre hanging baskets do you think my pots are too small and l should put them in bigger pots? Still struggling to garden in this heat. Really enjoyed your garden tour l love your home garden layout 🌺

With all those pots Steve you must spend hours watering. I’m trying to figure out how to save time with watering my pots. Maybe stand them on some capillary matting in a container. Do you think that would work?

Great tour Steve thank you. Can I ask do you ever feel overwhelmed with growing? For me this time of year seems hectic! Thanks

Very relevant as always. First time I’ve heard strawberries referred to as first earlies and main crop as in potatoes… is the harvest based on variety or is there a technique you apply to control the harvest? I always learn something. Thank you again
