I just came here, a year later after I left my first comment, just to say thank you. I'm about to have some extra money, and I'm looking to get a few things I've wanted for years at this point. Very rarely have I ever bought games online through ebay or the like, my entire collection basically is just from thrift store finds and what not. However, in the past like 6 years or so finding ANYTHING at thrift stores slowly became next to impossible. It's just so cool to me that because of this it seems like I'll actually have a shot at investing in some of this stuff at a price that wouldn't be flat out unreasonable. Good luck to everybody else on getting your dream consoles/games, and once again thank you, if I hadn't been binging your videos this method probably wouldn't have even been something on my radar.

Edit: I now have a Japanese virtual boy in beautiful condition, along with Mario Clash, teleroboxer, vertical force and galactic pinball. Everything, shipping included was 192 dollars. I couldn't be happier with this first experience.

“Junk” can also just mean untested. Your excitement when your realised it worked fine was cool to see!

I remember at the end of the life of the Gameboy micro, there was a department store near me clearing them out for about $50Au (~$35US) and they had a massive pile of them. If only I knew how the price would go through the roof.

Here's the thing about these Japanese import websites, you pay shipping twice and it is CRAZY expensive. Macho Nacho went through with this but had the shipping covered. Me, however, using Buyee, scored a 60 can BOSS coffee flat for 32usd (loved this stuff when I was in japan). Free shipping to the warehouse. Here's the con- What they don't tell you is you won't know the shipping until AFTER you've bought the product. Shipping to the States was $81.00usd. So much for that nice deal. I went though with it just because I wanted to taste BOSS coffee again, But pretty much anything you're buying is going to be a waste of money if you can get it from somewhere else in the world. Until the import delivery fees come down, this is still not a good deal.

Your expression of joy upon seeing the PC engine GT actually turn on an function was pure wholesomeness. Thanks for being such a positive and well spoken figure on YouTube. We need more influencers to be like you.

I ordered from Sendico after watching Elliot do it. Good god. I couldn't believe how much extra I had to pay for shipping to and from sendico. I felt like I got a decent deal and I have another giant package on the way with a gold 64, white saturn and DMG cib. Your stuff is awesome man and I wish it got more exposure. Keep it up dude. I'll definitely be watching.

I see people making videos or leaving poor reviews on Sendico because they didn't realize that shipping is not cheap or they bought a couple items, then when they see videos like this they say "Ohh they have special Youtuber Privileges ". I don't condone none of that stuff and I think its wrong that they assume there's a conflict of interest. This is a great video and has informed me a lot on buying through proxy services. I definitely will give Sendico a try and that's thanks to you!

Edit: Also you refer to North American stuff as "American" I'M

As somebody that never thought about this, browsing the website actually blew my mind. I knew a lot of retro stuff was cheaper there, but Holy hell, they're practically giving away stuff that would be sold for an organ here. The only thing that's holding me back from trying this is the international shipping fees, but man I want to try this at some point if not just to get a PC Engine.

Second time watching this video, I just realized you mentioned an option to adjust the item value. This is HUGE for me since the piece of crap country I live in murders you with rates, you end up paying twice as much as whatever you bought cost you after 50usd. I repair old cameras for fun, and the Japanese old camera market is the biggest anywhere in the world. Glad I decided to rewatch it after a few months lol

You can also have them order things for you from Japanese websites and companies. I’m going to have them order me a bunch of Pokémon plush.
