MULATU ASTATIKE , Mulatu of Ethiopia, 1972

Mulatu Astatke is an Ethiopian musician and arranger who is considered
the father of "Ethio-Jazz". Mulatu was born in Jimma and received his
musical education in London, New York City, and Boston, where he combined
his interests in jazz and Latin American music with traditional Ethiopian
music.
