thanks great video, Have a sprinter that does not want to start when its hot, have to wait for it to get to around 180, also loses power and doesn't down shift sometimes. Someone suggested cleaning the egr, any thoughts?

Does software for the 2006 2500 Sprinter identify a specific glow plug fault (one of the five) if there are performance problems after initial starting for those 20-30 seconds of running time where glow plugs should still heat fuel for lower emissions and better running? This is assuming a new glow plug control module has been installed.

no lights went on at all on the dash, so I don't think any codes will show. If we had codes I think the mystery would be easier, however I read a dealer post that suggested pulling the plug on the egr and seeing if the engine would run better? However that would trip a code on the computer and I did not want to do that. Someone suggested that the cam sensor on the back of the head can sometimes do this? Then someone suggested a leaky fuel injector? Any ideas? Starts and runs fine when its cold, then the sludgy performance and non starting issues are all when the temp gauge is above 180? thanks Nicholas
