Brett Raymer from the TV show "Tanked" gives us a look into his 4 story home on the edge of Lone mountain. What would a tanked home be without a 700-gallon custom aquarium in the kitchen and a 6,000-gallon Koi pond in its resort-style backyard.

Every house in Canada has a basement. Always amazes me when Americans are amazed by basements. Especially finished basements. Everyone I know has this....cool in the summer and some have fireplaces down there in for the winter.. my dad used to overheat the basement and installed extra ventilation so it would heat the upstairs, whole house was wood furnaced, super cheap to heat. And when it's -10 to -30C outside that's important....most people put their pool tables down there or turn them into apartments to rent out. 2 islands in the not only have I never thought of that, I've never seen it, I love that idea. The eating and hanging out doesn't interfere with the cooking....see those furniture...clearly don't get used often if ever. Amazing how things like that are designed into a place and you think hey I can sit out here and you never do. For what that place is worth I'd rather live in Victoria, BC. Nicer views. Everything is green instead of brown.

There really is no accounting for taste! Strange how Americans over décor their beautiful houses with stuff from the 70's!

Tanked is an amazing programme but at times it's like watching a Laurel and Hardy show.

I'm not sure how much is real or 'put on' for dramatic effect.

It would be interesting to have a follow up programme visiting tanked homes a year or two later to see if they have been properly maintained.

A house that size could home a 100 people. Just cause you have money doesn't mean you have to have a mansion. That's to much house just for him and his family.
