The amount of hidden carbs and sugars in a lot of prepared foods can easily knock you out of ketosis. Usually after meals if I start feeling drowsy, getting headaches, or the next day I feel a little inflammation in my hands, odds are it was something I ate that had enough carbs. I've learned to pay attention to total carbs on nutrition labels and not "net" carbs.

I found artificial sweeteners created big cravings. The hunger does indeed go away since we are burning our own stored fat supply.

I found restaurant food was not my friend. I do much better if I eat at home and prepare real food myself. I do not consider restaurant food real as it is all processed and loaded with chemicals.

My husband has just had stent fitted because of plaque build up. They put him back on statins and now he doesn't want to eat carnivore diet anymore. So confused about cholesterol.

The Hunger never goes away, I’ve been strict keto for many months and I’m always hungry and I’ve gained weight. My physiology does not like calorie dense foods like fats, nuts, creams but my skin looks better being off of sugar.
