It is easy to find information on how to use a LED matrix with an Arduino but less on how to use it with a Raspberry Pi.
In this video I show you how to connect an LED matrix using MAX7219 to a Raspberry Pi.
I also show you how to configure the Raspberry to use the matrix with Python.
In principle it works with all models, here I use a Raspberry Pi 3.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if the spi bus in the max 7219 is 3.3 or 5 volts. May it be a dub questionnto ask

Hi, I am able to set this 4 x LED Max7219 Modules and I able to cascade 4 more LED Max7219 making it to have 8 x LED Max7219 which makes 8 x 64 dots. The demo script also work great.
Now I like to add 2 more modules of LED Max7219 and make it like 16 x 64 dots. While I am able to daisy chain all of them I am not able to bring the text in the below two modules. Any ideas?👏👏
