Star Trek: First Contact SUITE

A suite of the best music from Jerry/Joel Goldsmith's score for 1998's Star Trek: First Contact. This is a trip down memory lane. Jerry's voice is definitely missed in the film scoring community. There has never been anybody who has been able to rise to his level of action scoring, though many have tried. HE also defined the music of Star Trek for an era, and First Contact was one of his greatest efforts. His son Joel (whose music also features in this suite) also provided some of the music since Jerry's schedule was reportedly quite full. All-in-all, it's a great score and I did my best to condense most of the best moments into this 20 minute suite.

The music is taken from GNP Crescendo's 2012 release of the complete score (Official release only, no bootlegs)

I have never watched a single Star Trek episode and I loved this movie completely... Some say it's hard for the non-initiates, but I disagree. It is a masterpiece of sci-fi.

The intro or first score of this suite, is one of the most divine pieces of Trek music ever composed - cant choose between this or inner light...

The section of this score that comes after the usual star trek theme into the section that is Unique to First Contact is one of the most beautiful orchestrations I have ever heard

French and English horns set the tone to any soundtrack. Magestic aren't they?

I wish the Enterprise E would have come back just like the D.

Zefrem Cochran is a grand-nephew of Elon Musk. That's how he recovered the starship nacelles design when it was stolen from SpaceX in 2042. Can't say I care for his tailor. His costume looks like vintage 1966 TREK TV wardrobe.
