[MHN] First 8* kill with a Charge Blade (Pukei vs 8.1 Carny CB)

I am just getting into CB with about 20 kills to my name. It's very foreign to me, but I'll get there. This is my first 8 kill. No pguards, no OFG or anything, just trying to get the basics down. Really happy I got this killed! Soon I'll swap out my high defense armor for more correct skills, but this build works for practicing:
Aknosom Helm w Health Boost
Carnival Chest no smelt
Rathian Vambs w Burst
Pinky Waist no smelt
Kulu Legs w Offensive Guard
Total: Crit Eye 5, Def Boost 2, Burst 2, Def Load 2, Health Boost 1, Guts 1, OFGuard 1, Lock On

It's been a weapon I usually avoid in gen 5.. after 4u it just doesn't feel the same...
