It's a matter of choice. If I don't want LEDs I shouldn't have to use them, PERIOD !!

Incandescent light bulbs are less efficient, but are also cheaper, use less materials, and are more elegant/simpler in construction. If the alternatives are better a ban would not be needed. The Incandescent light bulb can still be made more efficient.

If LED light bulbs were truly better than incandescent bulbs. Then the government wouldn’t ban incandescent lighting. I don’t care how much power they use. I want heathy lighting! If the government really cared saving Americans money… then why are they working on banning natural gas? Electric stoves and HVAC using much more energy than gas. This would end up costing Americans billions more a year. LED output fades over a short time making then useless in 6 months. I have 4 LED bulbs in my business I replaced six months ago. One went out in 6 months. I replace the one that went out and it is 25 % brighter. Now I will have to replace all of them to match the output and throw the other in the land fill. The winners are the bulb makers.

Yes, but LED bulbs are bad for your health. I replaced all the LED lights in my house with tungsten lamps when my wife could not sleep. It helped her a lot. Now we will need to go back to LED lights? This is criminal.

I personally hate led lights because of the look and not to mention they are flickering trash too.

And people like me who get horrible migraines triggered by LED lights are just kinda screwed.

So an incandescent bulb always wastes power. By that logic a radiator wastes 100% of power as it creates heat only. If you stop seeing it as a light source only but as a heat source with additional light the picture really changes. Use it in Florida? Nope. In Alaska? There would be nothing better. Especially since radiant heat is very effective at heating even though it's not much, and the light quality's still unmatched.

Talk about government overreach...this is infuriating. If it's economically worse, 99% of people are going to buy the cheaper one. Leave ME the choice of spending more on a bulb because I prefer certain elements of that technology. The attitude of these

I also hate LED lights, but don't have a source for regular incandescent light bulbs. Is there a country that makes and sells quality incandescent bulbs?

LED lights are horrible for people like me who have problems with bright light, that’s why I have incandescents in my house. LED’s are bright and harsh light. Even our Christmas tree is strictly incandescent. This needs to be challenged.

I like the *flame* incandescent bulbs because the wave in the glass gives off a romantic elegant ambiance, not to mention the soft glow only an incandescent can give. I use the 25W for my tiny lamps and 40W for my coach lamps outside. The coach lamps are what I really hate to see go. What can I replace them with? Do you all have an exact match?

The LED candelabra bulbs to me look so ugly. Why can't they look like the incandescent ones but be LED?

E-12 candelabra base incandescents are not affected… The DOE rule has a separate definition for GSIL (General Service Incandescent Lamp); it only includes E-26 medium base incandescent lamps. However, most non-incandescent lamps are affected.

You can still buy incandescents for use in appliances like stoves, ovens, refrigerators and other areas where LEDs just won't work. You can use these bulbs in other areas like to provide heat in pump houses to keep things from freezing or any other areas you like. It's not a well written rule and not a law.

are there exceptions for bulbs used in specialty applications such as film and Television production??

I have a question about a specific bulb. I buy 120 volt 35 watt MR16 halogen bulbs with a GU10 base and 200 lumens. Will these bulbs be banned? I see them still online. Should I stock up on them while I still can? I use them for my candle warmer lamp so a LED alternative would be pointless.

Just curious, is there a particular colour or level or brightness that is beneficial for heath. For example, is there a colour which would be appropriate for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and work/study room

LEDs attract different bugs and they have chips in them. Id call them a node. Part of the plan to 3D map everything using all devices and frequency. Soon no cameras needed, they'll just know whats in your pocket.

All I gotta say is LETS GO BRANDON! This is BS. Glad I stocked up on incandescent bulbs before the ban. Oh & our electric bill isn’t any higher than anyone else’s. It was $145 this last time for 2800sq ft house. Not bad.
