Light Bulb Ban 💡 ❌

In August of 2023, the US Department of Energy, is banning the production and sale of incandescent light bulbs.

These are the ones that if you touch, you almost burn your fingertips off…

And all this makes a lot of sense.

Because their counterparts, LED lightbulbs, use about 10X less energy, AND last 25X longer.

They’re just way more energy efficient and cost effective.

But why are they so much better?

Well, have you ever touched a light bulb and burned yourself?

That’s because old incandescent bulbs create light by passing electricity through a filament which creates tremendous amounts of heat and energy loss.

On the other hand, LED bulbs uses a semiconductor that emits light itself without the same energy loss through heat.
