Star Wars: Hunters Review

Star Wars: Hunters is a simple but enjoyable hero shooter. The Star Wars infused presentation is well executed, striking the right over-the-top tone without tipping into obnoxious. Its amusingly chaotic casual modes find a good balance of being accessible while still allowing skilled players to rise above the pack. It’s just shallow beyond that fun, with a competitive scene that narrows the “right” choices down to just a few viable characters, and rewards that aren’t very, well… rewarding. The most intriguing things you can earn are the additional Hunters themselves, and that process eventually starts to feel like an overly aggressive monetization push. As it is, Star Wars: Hunters is like a party at the Death Star: Impressive for a bit, but probably not a place you’ll want to hang around for too long.

Charged up my Switch for first time in over a year and was pleasantly surprised to find this free star wars online game. It's fun as hell. Games don't last too long. Doesn't require Nintendo online. 9/10 for me 🔥🔥

Honestly, if you can control your FOMO purchase impulses, it's pretty fun to play a match or two if you're stuck somewhere with only your phone.

I've been playing this for week or so and it's pretty fun, it's not p2w at all, the progression might be a little slow but that doesn't take fun form the game, I think they did a great job with capturing the star wars universe feel, if the game gets supported enough it can be a great time

Really like this one. Playing on switch docked on 55" oled 30fps or iPad pro 10.5" (2018) and it runs at max settings with 60fps using a switch pro controller. reminds me of a mini battlefront and playing casual its been very fun and a "just one more game" vibe.

Skora is amazing. Her speed is so useful to evade enemies if you’re getting hurt, or to flank them and get the jump on them, as well as healing your team in the process. Her weapon is dope.

tbh, if they tweak minuscule things like the cluttered UI it would be way better. still a very fun game for what it is.

Every reviewer complains about monetization in free to play games but never has any input on what would make it better. This game is already decently fun and the monetization is not a barrier to playing it F2P. If this game was $70 or even $50 people likely wouldn't even play it at all. Just wish they would give a suggestion as to what they think a F2P game should be.

The comments he said about having to choose between playing as sentinel or a lightsaber wielder is false. I've been a J-3DI main and sentinel is one of the easiest characters to defeat

This game is underrated as hell. Lots of fun, and enough depth to really hone your skills. Also i'd argue the most balanced and smooth gameplay in the genre. Menu's are rough i'll admit but i'm used to them now. Also the game gets regularly updated with new characters and maps as well as balance patches.
