A couple important distinctions:
1. Cosmo isn't a hacker in the sense that uses code to break into another system from his own, remote system. No, Cosmo is a Social Engineer, he calls support lines and fakes being an account holder, and he can piece together enough information to overtake a person's account through multiple calls (he gets credit card numbers and emails, too)
2. This hacker might not be the same guy, but another dude using Cosmo's alias.
3. The 4chan thing was a group of guys.

Why can the law just realize that they could actually use him! They should do one of those things where Cosmo would help catch or teach people how to catch hackers because he seems to be one of if not the best hacker. just a thought..

Cosmo is 16. His probation lasted until he was 21 and included him only being able to use the internet under supervision.

In my eyes, Cosmo did some good. He struck back against a hate group in a humorous way. This is way better than stealing credit cards and Woody's gamertag

This is one of the arguments that Woody and others made when he was sentenced a few month ago - that you are essentially taking someone with an incredible talent and cutting him down, preventing an artist from doing his work. Heck yeah, this guy could be put to so much good use if a big company hired him and gave him the resources. There's so much potential there, and if you keep having that potential butt up against the law, it's never going to be fostered into something special.

This could easily be someone impersonating Cosmo. If Cosmo broke his probation he would do this under another name.

I read an article on Cosmo when he first got in trouble... I also watched Woody's video on him. All of these people who are saying that Cosmo doesn't deserve a punishment don't realize what he did. He has SWATed people, stolen numerous Microsoft accounts, redirected FourChan, and many other things. He is by no means innocent. Yes, we all hate the Westborough Baptist Church, and Cosmo's actions against them were funny, but he was avoiding his punishment for his other crimes, and that is not good.

this is how I see it, Cosmo got pissed at those guys and decided to make them learn a lesson even though he would get in trouble. I agree that those guys are messed up beyond rashonal reasoning and they do deserve punishment, although I wish Cosmo would not have gotten into more hot water by giving them a bit of punishment.

I wondered how long it would be before Cosmo got back online and did what he does best. I think anyone that read the interviews with him realised he wasn't going to stay offline for long.

He doesn't get him back because 1) He is mature enough to not seek revenge over something that he already has back and was a petty theft 2) Cosmo ended up helping him out and somewhat protecting him from other hackers afterwards 3) He is only like 15 and was already punished severely 4) He did something that many people have wanted to do to a very hateful group of people and which I think were very deserving of his actions.

ill answer that, Woody uses Astro a-40's. he is always recommending them, but they are a little expensive, i think they're about $200 or $300. if you're budgeted i recommend Razer headsets, which are comfortable and sound great, for about $80 in the low-midrange ones. or my new headset, the Cyborg FREQ.5 headset, which is a bit high too, but i like it
