I have to say, I'm 52 years old and in the Midwest. I think this is a really cool looking piece. While I was watching, my 20 y/o son came in, looked over my shoulder, and said "wow, that's really cool". So, I guess there's something powerful in design that reaches a mass audience. Great piece. Where more explanation is beneficial it is provided, but where it’s not needed you simply explained what you did. I am a cabinet maker/draughtsman based in the UK and have been a subscriber to your channel for a while, and I really enjoy all the projects that you share with us, and I like the contemporary style that you guys have.
When watching this video I did notice at approximately 3:36 into the video that the board you were cross cutting had been glued up with all of the annular rings facing the same way, which is generally considered to be a bad idea in fear of the board cupping, however I'm guessing that you had your reason for gluing the board up this way.

Love this video...and love, love the coffee table. Wow! What I also appreciate, however, is the long, slow reveal at the end where you really take the time show off the finished piece. I'm not sure you always do that at the end of your videos: slowly, very slowly, pan over all the graining and joinery. It's so impressive and beautiful. And it caps the end of a long journey on which we've gone right along with you. What a pleasure!
