Building a Modern Dresser - Woodworking

In this episode I'm building a Mid Century Modern Dresser. This is the most thought that I've ever put into a woodworking project. Probably because it is the first set of woodworking plans that I have ever produced, so I wanted to make sure that every little detail was considered before settling on a final design. In the end, I am very proud of the piece, and equally thrilled with how many woodworking concepts and techniques we were able to cover with this build.

Love the dresser and the channel in general! I also love this addition of plans/courses and your focus on teaching general skills in the plans.

I'm thinking about making this piece but was wondering how long you think it would take someone to make it? I'm sure the real answer is "it depends", but I'd appreciate if you could give a range or ballpark estimate.

If it matters, I have a small space, most of the right tools but entry level (e.g. a small countertop table saw), and most importantly, I'd be a solid "beginner" to "advanced beginner" at best.

Also: could I start with pre-milled lumber? I don't have a jointer or planer.

I feel like you’ve sold your soul to YouTube, when the channel started out it was so much about the build, now your videos are so pumped full of sponsor links and even the time spent on the project is talking about everything you provide in the plans rather than the actual work you do! Nice video. I have a question about that solid wood slab door. Are you concerned about the door cupping over time? I was planning something similar and figured it was better to use ply for the door instead of solid wood, because the ply is more stable. Any feedback you could provide would be appreciated.

Chris and Shaun you guys knocked it out of the park on this one! Absolutely gorgeous as always! Been looking forward to the plans video since you first mentioned it on the podcast. When I am ready for the Master Bedroom re-model I am seriously thinking about making this! Do you guys think you might work on creating a line that would complement other plans? I would love plans for a side table that I could build to accompany this.

Does the cabinet door need to have some kind of stop? Do the Blum door hinges have something built in that prevents the door from closing into the cabinet?

Suggestion/idea video. You should do a Netflix style ... should I build A or B? And get us to select one and we get sent to a video that shows build we select and along the we get to select design option may be even choose the builder. Who should build it Chris or Shaun? Almost like we make the decision for what the end product. I can guarantee you'd be the first to do it.
